I goofed big time and bought a double pump that's way too big!!! I need a cheap way out of this mess. Here goes ... Can I convert to a single pump with a flow restrictor valve in the smaller circuit and supply both circuits with one pump
?

I'm sure we can find a way to do it, I need a little more information though.
What double pump did you get?
Can you give a description of the circuits?

Its a Webster KB double pump 1.94/1.51 cu.in. I'm using the 1.94 pump only(23 GPM @ 3000 RPM). I've tried removing the gears from the outer pump and connecting the 2 circuits together. I'm attaching a modified service manual drawing showing the circuit as it is now. Everything works but adding loads to the cylinders and drive motor results in little if anymore movement. I 'm going to put the drive gear back in the housing tomorrow; as it may be letting some leakage occur through the opening for this half of the shaft. The 2 returns are connected inside the pump also.
